COOKING + PROGRAMMING + WEIGHT LOSS = ME !! :D


This blog will be a place that i'll post about my weight loss,programming,cooking and even sometimes just journals!a little about me...im an 18 year old (i'll be 19 in 8 months!) iranian girl.i'm a college student and studying in computer programming which i LOVE!on january of 2012 i weighed 105 kgs (about 235 pounds ideal weight 136!) and i am 168 cm tall....so i was SO overweight and i was too lazy to do anything....a very typical day i came home from school and i had to make lunch, so i turned the tv on and i was watching  "i used to be fat" first season as i usually used to do....this time it was about a boy named Dominic and he was greek and overweight and about to be a chef. he was overweight because of the way his family used to eat, so unhealthy and his mother showed her love to him through food.i could really relate to him .... he spent his summer changing his life with working out and eating healthy.this was my click, the fire,the only motivation i needed so i thought to myself if he could do this i can do it too...i started right away, with that lunch i made big bowl of salad with no dressing (i used to eat salad just for the dressing...no dressing no salad for me (before))...i enjoyed every bite of that salad with sweet raw taste of vegetables. it was like my taste of  food was telling me hey you should eat healthier, not every healthy food tastes bad it actually does taste good....then i installed an app called calorie counter from fatsecret.com.this website helped me alottt learning stuff about how to workout and diet!!! :))i didn't know much, but all i knew was food has calories and working out burns calories...so i started working out on our treadmill. i remember the very first time stepped on the treadmill i just worked for 12 minutes and i felt like dying.then i logged my food and my workouts on fatsecret.com everyday... and the weight was easily coming off.till now i lost  66 pounds.looking forward to another 20 pound to lose.when i first start losing weight i started making my own meals. my food should be healthy, loaded with vegetables, low fat and low carb....im not so good with the low carb part! (i LOVE carbsss).i made this kind of food and my family were eating it with me and really enjoying it without missing the flavors.....so i realised i can really cook and i love cooking and baking.so here i am now.....writing this blog about me and my life with poor english skills.please comment i love to read them....
